Kasey Short is an Interdisciplinary artist working in installation, performance, sculpture and new media. Kasey is interested in expanded media through visions of immersive ecosystems. Kasey’s practice intersects art, technology and social structures through ideas relating to urbanism, ecology, and psychology with physical and interactive properties using sculpture, video, AR, Ai, sound and site-specific material installations. Kasey received his MFA from the University of Pennsylvania and a BFA from Texas State University. Kasey has exhibited works Nationally and Internationally and attended residencies such as the Vermont Studio Center, ACRE Projects in Chicago, IL , AVL-Mundo Foundation in Rotterdam, NL, The Texas Biennial and many other national and international spaces. Kasey is a recipient of the Charles Addams Memorial Prize, the Vermont Studio Center Scholarship Award, the Dallas Chamber of Commerce Emerging Artist Award and a grant recipient from the Houston Art Alliance Support for Artists and Creative Individuals. Kaseys’ studio is based in Dallas, TX.
